today we decided to head up to the cottage. we realized that we could not ALL fit in my sisters car so we started to call around for rentals. because it was caribana week, all the vehicles we were looking for was all gone. we then called this one car rental company and he had mentioned they had an suv...ESCALADE...how much you ask? $250.00/day..holy shiet i said...i mentioned this vehicle to the guys and they decided to take it and had them lower the cost.
Off to the cottage we go...2 hours drive...and my brother following behind us...
it was late afternoon and the sun was still up when we arrived. the water was warm and my mom had just finished cooking...just in time! after dinner we all surprised my nephew with a graduation party with cake and a gift. we all pitched in and bought him a 007 Sony digital camera...its what he really wanted. the kids as well as the adults jumped into the lake for the rest of the evening as well we started the bonfire and took our turns riding in the boat for a tour around the lake...ate marshmellows and than decided to call it a night...
the following day some of us jumped into the lake for a morning rush...close to the early afternoon, we started to pack up and head back to the big city...it was a great weekend spending it with family..how i really miss that!
we arrived to the city, got ready and Al and I along with Heather headed to my friends birthday bbq...you should've seen this bbq, live DJ, 2 personal chefs, patio tables around for the guests comfort..this was the place to be...and to top it off, the DJ was playing the old skool music...
