today we were informed by Al's sister that Nero is not walking anymore. Nero has been experiencing some problems. One having a tumor in his belly. So today they had made a decision to put him to sleep. Nero is 12 years old and everyone was surprised he lasted this long. In human years that would make him about 95 years old. WOW, look at that! We love you Nero!

passport

its 6am and i got ready to plan my adventure to the passport office. i am to meet Al there after his shift work. i am leaving my house and it is raining and cold outside. i brought my umbrella and wore my goose down jacket. i arrived at exactly 6am and thank gawd i did. the line was not that long. we were around the 80's count. it is now 7am and Al finally arrives. he looked so tired so i asked him to go home but he insisted to stay. we had 1 hour to go before the doors open but actually they were letting people in by 7:45am. Great! we finally got in at 8:20am and we headed upstairs where we had to get another # and wait once more. overall, we finished the process by 9:30am. now, we wait for 4 weeks till our passports get mailed (registered) out to us.

So, if you are planning to get your passports done and you are not planning on going anywhere anytime soon, wait a while. Another thing to do is do it online first and then go to the office.

well, this morning as i was getting ready, i was wondering what is taking my Almero so long from getting home from work. so, i called him on the cell and he was still at work but about to leave to come home. he then asked me what time i was going to be at work and i already knew he was up to something...i simply said, "don't buy me any flowers"...i beleive flowers and chocolates are soooo over rated. we've passed that flowers and chocolates stage long ago. instead we will be going out to dinner at either River Rock or Joey's.if we go to River Rock, we will play a couple of games at the Casino. WIN some mula!

UPDATE: well, no buffet for us at the River Rock cause it was an hour wait and by the time they call our name the buffet would be over in half an hour sooooo, we decided to first walk around the hotel since we haven't been there and then headed out to other restaurans around the Richmond area. We then went to Sammy J Pepper's and sat at the bar, watched the hockey game and had dinner. We had a good night with excellent food and the Canuck's defeating Minnesota 3-2.

evacuation

so, i was listening to CKLN and came across a possible evacuation within our area for tomorrow morning. on tuesday of this week, there were some chemicals (gallons) recovered as a contractor was digging. he came across some barrels of substances. today at 4pm, the neighbourhood will find out if we need to evacuate (12-18 hours or so). well, lucky for me i will be at work but what about Al...he is just coming in from work...he needs a place to stay and sleep for a couple of hours...what should he do?

UPDATE # 1: well, we didn't need to evacuate afterall...they had said they are able to work around it without any evacuation. But if need be, we should be ready. We'll see what will be the outcome over the weekend

i know, you all must think i am insane or simply BORED out of my mind..always changing my blog layout. everytime i come across an interesting template, i can't resist but to try it for a couple of dayz. i know its crazy and all but until i find the right one, our blog site will always have changes. sorry :(

Today is the big man's B-DAY...3? old...didn't do much cause he had to work, sooooo i went to his work and brought over some dinner (chinese food) for him and his co-workers...what a wonderfulr wife i am!

February 5th - Al spent the evening with his friends. they went to eat then go-carting. they all enjoyed it. hope you had a great time..you owe me, baby!
