cancelled flight
so i check the voice mail on the cell phone and there was a message from Delta Airlines. They had told me that flight 527 has been cancelled (YVR to ATL) leaving at 11am. Now, we had to change it leaving at 6am instead...that means we have to be at the airport at 4am..what the @#$*... and having 2 stop overs. that is a bummer! anyhow, cool thing is we arrive in south carolina at 7:30pm instead of 11pm...awesome! its all good!

alone time
today we had decided to have some alone time with eachother...so we started off by heading off downtown. before we started anything, we went to china town to buy some fish to bring for my aunt in the states. afterwards we went to newtown bakery to buy some siopao, bbq buns and sesame balls. we walked a bit around china town to check out some other stores. we then went to coal harbour and found a place to sit by the boat docks and have a little picnic with the stuff we bought at newtown. the weather was beautiful and lots of people. we walked around, like how we used to when we were living downtown. we really miss living in the city and would like to sell and buy downtown...would be nice! afterwards, we headed over to richmond to view the reception facility where we will be having for our wedding. Got some ideas and we're really excited! Afterwards, we headed back home for we have to start our cleaning and of course packing for our trip.

thank gawd for AC
today is hot and i mean hot...i thought only Toronto had this type of weather...but i thought wrong. got home from work today and couldn't beleive the heat in our area...but thank gawd for air condition...we bought an air condition a couple of years ago when we were still living downtown. so, decided to not sell and it and keep it for emergency purpose...and this was the time. we have a 3 level house and basically the 3rd floor is the area that gets the heat...our main floor is cool which is awesome. our basement is nice and cold which is even better. if anyone is going to buy an air condition, i recommend a portable one. do not get one that you place on your window sill. at least if you have a portable unit, you are able to move it around to whatever room you want. having AC will change your life forever especially when its time to sleep.

fleamarket
have any of you been to the cloverdale fleamarket? well, its all about junk, junk and more junk...the first time i went to the fleamarket here in BC, i was shocked...the fleamarkets in Toronto are MUCH better then this one...the Toronto's fleamarkets merchandises are NEW not USED...the only thing i like about the one here in BC is that the plants/flowers they sell are cheap as hell...woke up pretty early to head over to the cloverdale fleamarket one more time before the summer ended and ended up with a flat of plants and one big plant...i was only suppose to go there to look for plant pots but did the opposite...oops! anyhow, went home and did my gardening at 8am in the morning before the temperature decided to heat up again...

la casa de leon's
went to the deleon's housewarming shindig...it was pretty cool, cause they live across the other side of fraser hwy and we just walked over...yes, in the heat! it was a good walk and not far at all. they celebrated their event in their complex clubhouse which is really nice and cozy! afterwards, they (men) played poker so i decided to walk home, by myself, in the dark cause i didn't want to hang out and watch them play...at first i was scared but i just got my keys and wrapped them on my fingers as my protection...hahaha! i got home safe and sound!

allouette lake
on friday we left for golden ears, allouette lake for the weekend...we arrived early evening. camping with us were mr. le, "G"NO, the sumalings and the copons. we ate, drank and slept. i have never been to this camp site so, it was the first for moi...and it was ayight! i think i like cultus lake better cause the lake is right infront of you where in alouette, you had to either drive or walk and the walking is tiring...our site was ayight but it would've been better if the sites were put together. we had to always walk up and down to the 2 sites, which really sucked! other than that, the weekend was good times, good eats, and good company! the weekend came and gone and it was time to go...packed up and headed home. i can honestly say, i was glad to come home to my bed...next camping, i don't know...but maybe some of you guys out there that is interested in joining us, would like to come...the meaning of camping is relaxation...and that is the best part of it!

long distance
i was reading the newspaper the other day and came across an article regarding long distance calling. WORLDLINE is a long distance provider with low, low rates...like $3.95/mo unlimited calling within Canada...WOW, that is cheeeaaap! i am not sure how it works, all i know is that you can use it on your lan line or cell phone..if interested, check out their site.
We just enrolled with a new phone provider..VONAGE...it is about $39/mo unlimited calling within Canada and US..since all my family are from Toronto and US, i really want to take advantage of this. A friend of mine has been with Vonage for almost a year now and he really enjoys the low monthly rate with unlimited calling...Now we can talk, talk, talk all we want! We are also able to check via internet all the incoming calls and outgoing calls numbers & voicemail messages online. How cool is that! We will let you know all about it...

my "W" dress
FINALLY, i found a dress that i really like...i have been looking around for wedding dresses at stores and i couldn't for the life of me find one i really like until Saturday...i was up early Satruday morning doing my morning rush when i decided to walk into a store in Surrey "Ruby's", a bridal boutique that had opened not too long ago. I went in to ask if they carried a dress from the Madison Collection and Demetrios Collection...they said "we do" so i started going through all the dresses in the store. as i was looking i found the Madison dress that i liked and picked it out from the rack. The dress that i REALLY wanted from Demetrios was not there but found another dress by Demetrios that looked interesting, so i also grabbed it from the rack along with another dress from Alfred Angelo. i first tried the dress from the Madison Collection...it was nice...then i tried the dress from Alfred Angelo..too balloony...then i tried the dress from Demetrios...very different and modern looking and it was my size....soooo, i put my down payment on the dress and as a gift the attendant gave me a baby blue choker necklace...stunning peice! Well, my search is finally over and i just need to make an appointment with them for my fitting. with this dress that i chose, i am not able to gain any more weight. I really need to be careful!
I never thought that having to look for a wedding dress could be so stressful but it is, especially if you are as picky as i am...but to have found my dress i feel relieved and can move onto other things that i need to do.

weddings galore...
we have 26 days till the Tocol Wedding (Al's cousin) and 28 days till the Orara Wedding (Han's cousin) and we have NOT started on our excercising...and we really need to start looking our best since our wedding is 4 months away...we think we should start making use of our membership at Fitness World. We're paying for it and not even attending. I was thinking of cancelling our membership BUT we only pay $13/mo...you can't go wrong with that price.
The Tocol Wedding will take place in Abbotsford, BC. The wedding is for the end of July.
The Orara Wedding will take place in South Carolina, USA. We are very excited to be attending this wedding. This will be Al's first time in South Carolina and will finally meet the rest of our BIG familia. Expected guests attending this wedding is 350 or more. The wedding is set for the beginning of August. Shopping is also in FULL AFFECT!
